The Place
Ekdara, Jhajha is a village in the Jamui district of Bihar, known
for its calm surroundings and simple lifestyle. Situated close to
Jhajha town, the area is well connected by road and rail, making it
accessible for students from nearby villages and towns. The locality
is peaceful and away from the rush of city life, giving children an
ideal atmosphere for focused learning.
With its greenery, open spaces, and safe environment, Ekdara
provides a healthy setting for education and character building. It
is in this serene place that St. Columbus Public School stands as a
center of learning, discipline, and values. The school is a blessing

History
St. Columbus Public School, Ekdara, Jhajha (Jamui, Bihar) was
established in 2002 to provide quality education to children of
Ekdara and nearby villages. At that time, proper schools were
limited in the region, and the institution was founded to make
learning accessible and supportive for rural families. The school
began with just a few classrooms and a small number of students,
gradually earning the trust of parents through its focus on
academics, discipline, and values.
Over the years, the school has introduced important facilities such
as a library to encourage reading and a playground for games and
physical activities. Today, St. Columbus Public School stands as a
respected educational institution, providing a safe and nurturing
environment where students can grow academically, socially, and
morally, preparing them to become responsible and confident
individuals.
From The Founder's
St. Columbus Public School, was founded in 2002 with the vision of
making quality education accessible to the children of Ekdara and
nearby villages. At a time when educational opportunities were
limited in the area, the school started with only a few classrooms
and a small group of students. Through dedication, discipline, and
a commitment to strong values, it gradually grew into a trusted
institution supported by both parents and the local community.
Over the years, the school has expanded its facilities to include
a library that inspires reading and knowledge, as well as a
playground where children build fitness, teamwork, and confidence.
Today, St. Columbus Public School continues to provide a safe,
nurturing, and disciplined environment where students are
encouraged to excel in academics while also developing character
and life skills that prepare them for a bright future.
